Description

This two-day course will help you to develop the understanding, skill and confidence to use  ANOVA Designs; consisting of 1-Way Independent ANOVA, Factorial ANOVA, Repeated Measures ANOVA, ANCOVA and Mixed Designs ANOVA. You will be guided on how to generate the correct statistics for each ANOVA design from the SPSS menus and sometimes from the Syntax. You will gain knowledge and competence to enable you to format your data required to use ANOVA Designs and generate, interpret and report the results.

Small Class Size

To ensure that high quality and responsive learning support is given to each participant, we only take a small class with a maximum of 9 participants on our scheduled courses. Therefore, it is important you register your interest early to secure a place.

Pre-requisite

Little knowledge of SPSS is desirable. Please see course details below for the course reminders.

Teaching Methods

The teaching method is mainly hands-on. It is supported by: presentation, demonstration, discussions, questions and answers. The tutor will provide participants screen sharing to give learning support.

Online Delivery Platform

The course is delivered on GoToMeeting platform.  The training joining link is  email to you, close to the training date.

Training Workbook

Each participant receives an instructional workbook and a copy of video recording of the class.

Certificate of Completion & After Training Support

Each participant receives a certificate of completion and ongoing after training support via phone, email and screen sharing. Please ask for this after the training. 

Course Outline

By the end of this section, you will be able to:

•  understanding ANOVA Designs; consisting of 1-Way Independent ANOVA, Factorial ANOVA, Repeated Measures ANOVA, Mixed Designs ANOVA and ANCOVA.
• You will be guided on how to generate the correct statistics for each ANOVA design from the SPSS menus and sometimes from the Syntax.
• You will gain knowledge and competence to enable you to format your data to use ANOVA Designs and and generate, interpret and report the results.
• Understand data required for univariate model.
• Differentiate between the dependent variable, fixed, random and covariate factors.
• Generate an univariate analysis.
• Explore the effects of factors, covariate, and covariate interactions with factors on the dependent variable.
• Perform post-hoc analysis where appropriate.
• Examine the fit of the model.
• Explain the outputs and report findings.
